İlkokullarda Sunulan Kariyer Psikolojik Danışması Hizmetlerine Yönelik Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Çocukların kariyer gelişimlerinin desteklenmesi bireylerin işgücü piyasasına katılmasında önemli görünmektedir. Türkiye’de çocukların kariyer gelişimini desteklemekle görevli paydaşlardan biri de okul psikolojik danışmanlarıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı ilkokullarda çalışan psikolojik danışmanların okullarda sundukları kariyer danışması hizmetlerini incelemek ve kariyer danışması konusundaki ihtiyaçlarını belirlemektir. Bu amaçla çalışmanın nicel kısmı için ilkokullarda görev yapmakta olan 70 rehber öğretmenden veri toplanmış ve nitel kısmı içinse yedi psikolojik danışmanla görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Hem nicel hem de nitel sonuçlara göre ilkokullarda kariyer danışması hizmetleri öncelikli olarak görünmemektedir. İlkokullarda sunulan hizmetler daha çok meslekleri tanıtmaya yönelik olmakta ve öğrenciler kariyer danışması almak için nadiren psikolojik danışmanlara başvurtukları görülmektedir. Psikolojik danışmanlar çocuklarda kariyer danışması ile ilgili daha fazla materyale ihtiyaç duymaktadırlar. Bu bulgular ilgili literatür ışığında tartışılmış ve araştırmacılara ve psikolojik danışmanlara öneriler sunulmuştur.
