Author's Copyright
Starting from January 2023, Uludag Journal of Theology does not require authors of journal articles to transfer their copyrights to the journal. Authors (or their employers) retain the copyright of their work. All we require from authors is to accept publication under the CC BY-NC license. All articles published by Uludag Journal of Theology (regardless of who financed the research) are published as open access and are allowed to be reused under the terms of the CC BY-NC open access license.

Authors of works published in Uludag Journal of Theology hold the copyright to their work which is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). The CC BY-NC 4.0 license permits sharing, copying, reproducing, and adapting the work in any dimension and format, as long as the work is not used for commercial purposes and proper attribution is given to the original work.

Authors agree and accept the copyright agreement listed in the control checklist screen when uploading their work to our online system. The agreement states that:

• The submitted article is the original work of the author(s) and does not contain any plagiarism.
• All authors have individually contributed to the work and have taken responsibility for it.
• All authors have seen and approved the final version of the article.
• The article has not been published elsewhere or submitted for publication.
• The text, figures, and documents in the article do not violate the copyrights of others.
• Authors grant the right to freely use the article to any third party as long as the original authors and citation details are identified.
• Nothing in this license impairs or restricts an author's right to preserve the integrity and ownership of their work.
• All commercial rights related to the article belong to the authors.

The journal believes that licensing is essential for effective open access, and user rights and copyright ownership should be transparent. Uludag Journal of Theology has signed the Budapest Open Access Declaration.
