Publication Process

The Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Kafkas University is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (January 15 – July 15).

The journal publishes academic articles prepared in the field of Theology studies:

Basic Islamic Sciences: Tafsir, Hadith, Kalam, Islamic Law, History of Islamic Sects, Sufism, Arabic Language and Literature.

Philosophy and Religious Studies: Islamic Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Sociology of Religion, Religious Education, History of Religions, Logic.

Islamic History and Arts: History of Islam, History of Islamic Arts, Turkish-Islamic Literature, Religious Music.

Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Education.

In the articles to be sent; It is required to be an original article that will fill a gap in the field or to be a review that evaluates previously published studies and presents new and remarkable views on this subject.

Our journal uses a double-blind peer-review system in which the identities of the referees and authors are kept confidential to each other. For this reason, referee names are not published. Authors and reviewers should strive to keep their identities confidential. For this purpose, persons such as authors, editors and referees who send files to the system should pay attention to the following points regarding the text and files. Authors should delete the places where their names and institutions are mentioned in the text. Including footnotes etc. side texts. While Microsoft documents are stored, personal information is also written into the file information. For this reason, either this personal information should be found and deleted from the document properties, or the document should be re-saved in a way that does not contain personal information in the following order.

The Editorial Board examines the articles submitted to the journal primarily in terms of publication principles, journal scope, scientific content and form.

For the works that pass the preliminary examination, a Section Editor is appointed by the Editor. The Section Editor sends the work to at least 2 referees for evaluation.

In order for the work to be accepted into the journal, it must receive positive evaluation from both referees. If necessary, the 3rd referee may also be asked to contribute to the evaluation process.

Articles submitted for publication are also confirmed by a special program used for plagiarism detection, that the articles have not been published before and do not contain plagiarism.

The publication process of the accepted work takes 2-3 months from the date of receipt of the work.

Submission of articles to the journal is free of charge. No fee is charged for the article accepted for publication.

Kafkas University Journal of Theology Faculty started to use intihal.net program to detect plagiarism in academic studies. Authors who submit articles to the Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Kafkas University are deemed to have declared that they have not committed any ethical violation. The works of authors who are found to have plagiarized through the intihal.net program are not included in our journals. The report on this subject is sent to the author.
