YAŞLILARIN GERONTEKNOLOJİK ÜRÜNLERİ KABULE YÖNELİK TUTUMLARI

Abstract

Geronteknoloji birçok özel yardımcı ekipman ve teknolojik destek yardımı ile yaşlanmayla azalan duyusal ve algısal kayıpların, kuvvet ve hareket kayıplarının telafi edilebileceği görüşünden hareketle yaşlıların kullanacağı birçok araç-gereç ve teknolojik desteğin ergonomik tasarımı ile ilgilenmektedir. Bu araştırma yaşlıların geronteknolojik ürünleri kabule dönük tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Türkiye ölçeğinde gerçekleştirilmekte olan çalışmanın bu bölümü Karadeniz, İç Anadolu ve Akdeniz Bölgelerindeki 11 ilde 65 ve yukarı yaştaki kadın-erkek toplam 358 yaşlı birey üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Yaşlıların geronteknolojik ürünleri kullanımları “ev ve günlük yaşam teknolojisi (a), iletişim teknolojisi (b), sağlık teknolojisi (c) ve eğitim ve rekreasyon teknolojisi (d)” başlıkları altında ele alınmıştır. Yaşlıların geronteknolojik ürünleri kabule yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla 16 sorudan oluşan modelde 5’li Likert skalası kullanılmıştır. Faktör analizi sonucunda 16 madde “teknoloji kullanımına yönelik tutumlar (TK), koşulları kolaylaştırma (KK), algılanan kullanışlılık (AG) ve geronteknoloji anksiyete (GA)” olmak üzere 4 alt başlıkta toplanmıştır.

Ürün kullanımı üzerinde bağımsız değişkenlerin etkisi tek yönlü varyans analizi ile, yaşlıların geronteknolojik ürün kullanımı ve geronteknolojik ürünleri kabule yönelik tutumları arasındaki ilişki korelasyon analizi ile araştırılmıştır. Geronteknolojik ürün kullanımı bakımından bölge, yerleşim yeri, yaş, cinsiyet, öğrenim durumu, ekonomik durum ve sağlık durumunun etkili olduğu (p <0.05) bulunmuştur. Ürün grupları arasında ve ürün grupları ile tutumlar arasında yüksek korelasyon vardır. Araştırma verilerinin yaşlıların yaşam düzeyinin artırılmasında, geronteknolojik ürünlerin üretim ve yaygınlaştırılmasında yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
