Sağlık Statüsü Üzerinde Sağlık Harcamaları Ve Gelir Dağılımının Etkisi: MINT Ülkeleri Üzerine Bir İnceleme
Abstract
Bir ülkenin kalkınmışlık düzeyi o ülkedeki bireylerin gelir düzeyi, sağlık göstergeleri, eğitim seviyeleri ile açıklanmaktadır. Sağlık ve sağlık statüsünün durumu üretim aşamasında verimlilik artışına yol açmasından dolayı önem teşkil etmektedir. Sağlık statüsü sağlığın bütün boyutlarını içerisine almakta sosyo-ekonomik çevre, sağlık hizmetlerine erişim düzeyi, fiziki ve sosyal çevre gibi birden çok fonksiyonun bileşiminden oluşmaktadır. Sağlığın fiziksel, sosyal, ekonomik boyutu dikkate alındığında bireyin ve toplumun sağlık statüsünü etkileyen çok sayıda faktör bulunmaktadır. Sağlık harcamaları ve gelir dağılımı da sağlık statüsünü etkileyen en önemli faktörler olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı MINT (Meksika, Endonezya, Nijerya, Türkiye) ülkeleri için 2000-2018 dönemi verileri ile sağlık harcamaları- gelir dağılımının sağlık statüsü üzerine etkisini Panel Veri Ekonometrik tahminler yoluyla analiz etmektir. Analiz sonucunda MINT ülkelerinde sağlık harcamalarındaki artışların sağlık statüsü üzerinde pozitif, gelir dağılımı adaletsizliğindeki artışın sağlık statüsü üzerinde negatif etkiye sahip olduğu elde edilmiştir.

The Effect of Health Expenditures and Income Distribution on Health Status: A Study on MINT Countries
Abstract
The level of development of a country is explained by the income level, health indicators and education levels of the individuals in that country. The state of health and health status is important because it leads to an increase in productivity at the production stage. Health status includes all dimensions of health and consists of a combination of multiple functions such as socio-economic environment, level of access to health services, physical and social environment. Considering the physical, social and economic dimensions of health, there are many factors that affect the health status of the individual and society. Health expenditures and income distribution are also considered as the most important factors affecting health status. In this context, the aim of the study is to analyze the 2000-2018 period data for MINT (Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey) countries and the effect of health expenditures-income distribution on health status through Panel Data Econometric estimations. As a result of the analysis, it has been found that the increase in health expenditures in MINT countries has a positive effect on health status, and the increase in income inequality has a negative effect on health status.
