INFORMATION SHARING, AGILITY AND CUSTOMER PERFORMANCE IN SUPPLY CHAINS: A MEDIATING MODEL

Year 2023, Volume: 8 Issue: 2, 134 - 145, 17.10.2023

Abstract

Information sharing in supply chains causes companies to respond faster to environmental changes and thus to perform better. Especially in changing environments, it is necessary to design a more agile and information sharing supply chains to achieve performance. In this study, the effect of information sharing on supply chain agility and customer performance and the effect of supply chain agility on customer performance has been examined. After these effects were found, the mediating role of agility was also evaluated. For this purpose, data were collected from 112 manufacturers in the Gaziantep Organized Industry site and analysed with the process macro method. Analysis results showed that information sharing in supply chains affects supply chain agility, and customer performance and that agility affects customer performance. Analysis results showed also that agility mediates the effect of information sharing on customer performance. The findings showed that companies should design their supply chains agile to achieve customer performance and to achieve agility, companies should share information. Information sharing between companies in the same supply chain makes the changes in demand -which could be changes in the amount or in the product- more predictable.

TEDARİK ZİNCİRLERİNDE BİLGİ PAYLAŞIMI, ÇEVİKLİK VE MÜŞTERİ PERFORMANSI: BİR ARACILIK MODELİ

Year 2023, Volume: 8 Issue: 2, 134 - 145, 17.10.2023
