Abstract
Tekafül, konvansiyonel sigortacılığın; faiz, belirsizlik ve kumar gibi etmenlerden arındırılmış bir alternatifi olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmayla tekafül ve diğer sigortacılık sistemlerinin kavramsal çerçeveleri açıklanmış ve devamında bu uygulamaların benzer ve farklı yanları ortaya konulmuştur. Daha sonra tekafül sisteminin yapısı, çalışma ilkeleri ile dünyadaki durumu ve gelişmesi incelenerek, Türkiye’deki tekafül uygulamalarının da güncel veriler ışındaki son durumu ortaya konulmuştur. Elde edilen nitel ve nicel verilere göre Türkiye’deki tekafül uygulamalarının önünde çeşitli problemler olduğu, gelişme potansiyelinin yüksek olmasına rağmen yeteri kadar gelişemediği ve bu nedenle beklenen ihtiyacı karşılamadığı görülmüştür. Bu çalışmayla tekafül piyasasının gelişmesi ve sistemin yaygınlaştırılabilmesi için çeşitli çözüm önerileri getirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada getirilen önerilerin, ileride bu alanda yapılacak olan çalışmalar için temel bir yol haritası belirlediği düşünülmektedir.
Abstract
Takaful, which avoids riba, gharar and gambling, is the alternative for conventional insurance. In this study the conceptual frameworks of the Takaful and other insurance systems are explained and the similarities and differences of implementations of these systems are demonstrated. Then structures and working principles of the Takaful system are explained and implementations around the world and in Turkey are examined in the light of current data. According to qualitative and quantitative data, it is shown that there are various problems of Takaful practices in Turkey which limits the growth of the Takaful market despite its high growth potential. For this reason Takaful implementations do not meet the needs of the Turkish market. This study is endeavored to provide various proposals for developing the Takaful market and disseminating this system in Turkey. It is considered that this study is filling up theliterature blank of Takaful research and implementation within Turkey and that the proposals of this study can be used as a road map for further research in this area
