ANALYSIS OF THE FREE-RIDER PROBLEM WITHIN THE PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT FRAMEWORK

Abstract

The
subject of the study is an analysis of the energy politics following the signing
of the Paris Agreement on Climate from a free-rider
problem approach. The main hypothesis of the study is that the framework
emerging as a result of the Paris Agreement may exacerbate free rider problem.
Following the Paris Agreement, states will be compelled to implement certain
articles, leading to a free-rider problem. The primary task undertaken in the
article is to scrutinize the free-rider problem in relation to the Paris
Agreement.

Abstract

Çalışmanın
konusu, Paris İklim Anlaşması’nın imzalanması sonrasında oluşacak enerji
politikalarının bedavacılık (free-rider) sorunu çerçevesinde değerlendirilmesidir.
Çalışmanın temel hipotezi, Paris İklim Anlaşması sonucunda kabul edilen
çerçevenin bedavacılık sorununu artıracağıdır. Paris İklim Anlaşması’ndan
sonra, ülkeler çevreyle ilgili bazı şartları zorunlu olarak uygulayacaklardır.
Bu da bedavacılık sorununu ortaya çıkaracaktır. Makaledeki amaç da bu
bedavacılık sorununu Paris İklim Anlaşması’na göre incelemektir.
